ABOUT JULIETTE

I’m Juliette Crane, the founder of The School of Happy Painting, a suite of online courses in fearless art and mess making that encourage thousands around the world to get creative and live their dreams.

With over 15 years experience as a working artist, I want to share what I’ve learned and what’s worked for me, in the hope that it’ll help you be more productive and develop your own style faster.

Art was the thing I loved to do growing up and in high school. But when I graduated college, I felt like my creativity didn’t matter.

I stopped painting for more than ten years. I went to work as an editorial assistant at a newspaper, occasionally writing a music review or gallery feature.

It took SO many different jobs as a photographer, gallery assistant, floral designer and more before I finally realized the only thing I could put my heart into was being a full-time artist.

My hope is that in sharing my creative process, you feel more connected and supported as you create, and find more beauty and happiness in your every day.

I’ll see you in class!

xx

What People Are Saying:

"I LOVED your portrait painting class so much and feel such gratitude. I'm not a morning person by nature—at all—but each day at 5:50 a.m., it was a joy to wake to my alarm clock and know that it was time to see what that day's new lesson would bring."

Savannah Stoner

"I simply LOVED this class. I never could imagine that I'd ever be able to create these great ladies. Your instruction and the repetition in the daily painting sections made me so much more confident and able."

Dheera Kitchlu

"This class style really accelerated my ability to lean into my style rather than trying to follow step-by-step instructions with the goal of replicating what Juliette made."

Meg McAlister

"I couldn't wait every day to see the next lesson and dive into my paints. I found a lot of freedom and joy in the process of creating these paintings."

Pam Cook

"I loved everything about this class! Painting faces has been something I've shied away from, as they seemed so intimidating before. But Juliette made the process so easy, AND FUN! I have learned so much and actually LIKE what I painted! I have joy in painting faces now!"
